Bag Lunch Book Club (Free Community Event)

We’ve partnered with The Novel Refuge to offer a free monthly in-person bookclub. The Novel Refuge is a local, volunteer-run non-profit bookstore that supports refugee resettlement in the community. They promote literacy in our local area and reduces waste by keeping books in circulation and out of landfills.

We will be discussing Matt Haig’s The Island of Missing Trees byElif Shafak. This uniquely narrated novel tells a powerful story of love, loss, and identity.

A limited number of used books are available for purchase in store at The Novel Refuge. New books are also available through Bookshop.org (www.bookshop.org/shop/thenovelrefuge) and Libro.fm for audiobooks (https://libro.fm/novelrefuge). The Novel Refuge does receive a percentage of proceeds for purchases through both companies when you designate them as your store.
