Complex Trauma & Dissociation Consultation for Black Clinicians

This ongoing, drop-in group is open to therapists working with complex trauma. Whether you are a seasoned clinician or newly settling into your career, this group is ideal for you if you are seeking to maintain or enhance your clinical skills for working with clients who live with complex trauma and dissociation. This group is facilitated by Sharnise Hendrick, LCPC, RYT500.

This group is the right fit for you if:

  • You would like to gain applicable resources for enhancing your confidence with complex cases

  • You feel stuck or hesitant in your work with a client

  • You are overwhelmed about how to effectively conceptualize the client’s history

  • You are seeking to maintain professional community with therapists who work complex trauma and dissociation

  • You would like to collaborate with colleagues who are doing similar work as you

  • You work with clients who report no felt sensations or who become dysregulated when noticing their felt sensations

  • You work with clients who have a hard time connecting with sensations and emotions and intellectualize their experiences

  • You feel uncertain or uncomfortable proceeding with clients who experience significant trauma-related dissociation

  • You are seeking support with conceptualizing dissociation

  • You work with clients who meet criteria for dissociative disorders

  • You work with clients who have experienced interpersonal harm/violence

  • You are seeking community with fellow Black clinicians

Open to those trained in EMDR as well as those who do not utilize EMDR. This group does not offer consultation hours towards EMDRIA’s EMDR certification requirements.

Space is limited to 6 attendees per month.

Cost: $75 per 90-minute group. If you’d like to attend multiple groups, you must register for each month separately.
